Borated Polyethylene Sheet is designed particularly for neutron shielding in nuclear facilities and medical applications. Because of the high hydrogen concentration, fast neutrons are slowed to lower energy thermal (slow) neutrons, which are subsequently absorbed by the added boron compound making borated polyethylene sheets perfect for healthcare cancer treatment centers, and diagnostic and hospital facilities.
